Tina Fey Destroys A Cake While Tearing Trump and Nazi Buddies to Shreds

I don’t support the destruction of cake. And watching Tina Fey go all Jeffrey Dahmer on an innocent cake was unsettling. But Fey did it for a good cause, she gave a chance to laugh at Trump and his Nazi friends.

Like all good humor, it was funny and also kind of sad when you think that this is where we are politically in this country in 2017. We’re actually being forced to defend the position that Nazis are bad. I think most of us thought that that was a universally accepted fact – Nazis are bad.

But apparently not since the Republican party nominated Donald John Trump to be president. And then they conspired with Russia to cheat Hillary Clinton and the Democrats out of the Oval office – again.

Reagan’s Neshoba County Fair “States’ Rights” Speech Was No Dog Whistle

People who don’t pay very close attention to politics are shocked that racists and Nazis are comfortable as members of the Republican party. They shouldn’t be, just look at the Republican party’s recent history.

On August 3, 1980, Republican presidential candidate Ronald Reagan gave his now-infamous states’ rights speech at the Neshoba County Fair near Philadelphia, Mississippi. That’s where three civil rights workers Andrew Goodman and Michael “Mickey” Schwerner from New York City, and James Chaney of Meridian, Mississippi were murdered in 1964.

Current critics of the GOP claim that with Donald Trump as president the party is no longer “dog whistling” to racists. I argue, there never was a dog whistle. Reagan’s states’ rights speech at the Neshoba County Fair wasn’t subtle. Everyone knew exactly what Reagan was doing. He was implementing the Republican party’s southern strategy that President Nixon concocted before resigning in shame.

The Republican party has for my entire life used race to convince ignorant white people to vote against their own economic self-interest. The problem for the GOP is that tapping evil to win elections is that evil will eventually overrun the party and destroy it. I believe that is what we’re currently witnessing – the total destruction of the Republican party after 5 decades of using race to win elections.

Life after Charlottesville

Life After Charlottesville

You can see me in some of the videos of the Charlottesville terrorist attack that left Heather Heyer did and many more injured. I’m wearing the green shirt with the red back pack.

Since Saturday I’ve struggled to stay focused and I’m always on alert. On Tuesday, I was walking from my office to my car after work and there was a gray Explorer waiting to pick someone up and it was running. The air conditioning must have kicked in and the engine revved up. For a split second I thought, “Are they going to run me over?”

Then today, I was at 7/11 and there was a guy in line in front of me who looked a lot like the Nazis in Charlottesville. While rationally, I had no reason to be concerned with this guy picking up slices of cheese pizza on his lunch break, but I couldn’t help it. I watched that guy the entire time I was in the store.

What’s he doing now?

Why is his back to me and what’s in his hand?

Does he have a gun?

Is he going to shoot the cashier because she’s black and then kill me because I’m a witness?

Did he see me Charlottesville and he’s coming to finish the job?

All of these crazy thoughts went through my head in about 90 seconds. It wasn’t that I was afraid of him, but I was definitely on alert that he might be a threat to me.

I know, you’re not supposed to judge people by how they look, but if you look like a racist, or a Nazi, I’m going to consider you a possible threat.

Help this person, who was brutally beaten in Charlottesville with this GoFundMe campaign.

You can read my firsthand account of being on that street in Charlottesville during the terrorist attack here.

Fascist Tried to Kill Me in Charlottesville, He Killed One Woman and Injured 19

So I drove to Charlottesville to support equality and to oppose racism and fascism. I was there for about 10 minutes when a lunatic tried to kill me and the hundred other people who were near me. The car, a Dodge Challenger rammed into the crowd, and two other cars, passing within about three feet of hitting me. The driver backed up and ran over even more people. One woman, Heather Heyer, 32, was killed and 19 others were injured.

I did what seems like a natural reaction – I ran the other way. I was worried the driver was going to get out and start shooting people. I literally ran for my life.

The situation was like this. I arrived in Charlottesville at some time around 1:30PM, parked my car on Water Street about a block from the visitor’s center. I texted my wife “Here” at 1:31PM. I used the bathroom at the visitor’s center. I walked west on East Main Street until I got to 4th Street Southeast. I saw a crowd of counter protesters in the intersection of 4th Street Southeast and East Main Street. They looked like my people and so I started to walk south on 4th Street Southeast.

I noticed three cars on 4th Street. There was a minivan in front, some sort of sedan and a gray Dodge Challenger. This street is a narrow one-way street. The vehicles were stuck, people were totally filling the streets and intersection. I walked passed the gray Challenger, which was pointed south. I remember one of the drivers honked their horn, but I don’t know which one it was. Maybe 10 seconds after I passed the Challenger, the driver gunned the car, ran over several people, bodies were flying everywhere and slammed into the sedan so hard that it slammed into the minivan stopped in front of it. I thought I saw one person crushed, but I don’t really remember much of the details. The Challenger than immediately went in reverse and ran several more people over. People were being dragged and more bodies were flying everywhere. People were screaming and I just booked out of there. I crossed East Main Street where I caught my breath. I was in shock. I sent a tweet at 1:45PM.

And to heighten the fear factor even more, about 10 or 15 minutes after the terrorist attack, I was talking to some people about what happened and someone fired a gun. At that point, a woman running from the gunshot told me about a bar that was a safe space for liberals. I went there and had a beer to decompress. It was a totally insane experience.

So to everyone who didn’t take their vote seriously in 2016, or who just couldn’t vote for Clinton, thanks. If you voted for a write-in a candidate because you didn’t think your vote in Vermont, or wherever didn’t matter, you screwed up. Had Clinton won by 5 million rather than 3 million, maybe the Electoral College would have gone differently. To everyone who just couldn’t put their own selfishness aside and vote for Clinton, you failed. If we get to vote again, not necessarily guaranteed, take it more seriously next time and try to put your own pettiness and selfishness aside. People are literally being murdered because they’re emboldened by Trump’s “win.”

Trump Bans Transgender People From Military

On Twitter today, Donald Trump announced a new policy which bans transgender people from the military.

Here’s what it looked like this morning.

I’m assuming there are transgender people in the military now, yet Trump doesn’t specify what happens to them. Do they just get to leave? Do they have to leave the military?

This is what fascism looks like and it’s ugly and will only get more grotesque.

Oddly enough, Trump thanked the LGBT community last year when he said he would fight for them.

Donald Trump Under Indictment

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

Late Saturday night, Claude Tayler and Louise Mensch have dropped a bombshell story that Donald Trump is under indictment.

Taylor, a longtime political operator, and Mensch, a former British conservative member of parliament and now investigative journalist, teamed up to write what can only be described as a shocker.

The story is only two paragraphs and it’s not publicly sourced, but if accurate, could provide the basis for impeachment.

According to Taylor, he and Mensch have separate sources, both corroborating the same information. Taylor tweeted that a grand jury operating under the FISA court has issued the sealed indictment.

Because of the special constitutional powers of the presidency, Trump can’t yet be prosecuted with this indictment, but Mensch and Taylor report that the sealed indictment can be used as a basis to impeach him.

Must See Dutch Documentary Outlining Trump’s Ties to Russian Mafia

A Dutch TV show called Zembla has just published a scathing documentary outlining the many connections between Donald Trump and his numerous connections to Russian mafia.

While the documentary at times poses more questions than it answers, it’s a fascinating look at the shadowy Trump business deals. Back in the 1990s, Trump filed for bankruptcy several times and American banks wouldn’t loan him money. So, as the story goes, Trump turned to Russian oligarchs to fund his real estate deals. The connections between he and these Russian criminals isn’t two or three steps removed, they worked directly with Trump himself.

One of those mobsters is Felix Sater worked directly with Trump. Here’s a copy of his business card.

According to a lawyer in the documentary, it would not be difficult to prove Trump knew who he was dealing with and would therefore himself be convicted of racketeering and money laundering.

Watch the documentary and judge for yourself.

Democrats Who Voted For Gorsuch

Three Democrats voted for Gorsuch to be a Supreme Court Justice, rewarding the Republican party’s successful theft of a Supreme Court seat.

Joe Manchin of West Virginia. He’s up for reelection next year.

Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota. She’s up for reelection next year.

Joe Donnelly of Indiana. He’s up for reelection next year.

If these three do not pay a price by losing their seat in the Senate, the Democratic party will have once again failed miserably.

The GOP refused to hold a hearing or vote on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Garland. Then when Democrats used the filibuster to stop the Gorsuch nomination, the GOP changed the Senate rules and got rid of the 200-year-old rule allowing the filibuster of Supreme Court nominees. And Donald Trump is currently under FBI investigation for colluding with Russian spies/hackers to undermine our electoral system and democracy.

If we allow this to happen with no repercussions, we’re complicit in this fraud. We let George Bush off the hook for his war crimes, torturing and disgusting behavior. Will we do the same with Trump and the GOP?

Trump, Azerbaijan and Prison for Violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977

It’s nearly impossible to stay focused on any one Donald Trump story for more than a few hours, a new one drops every 6 hours. But this one about the hotel in Azerbaijan is important – it shouldn’t be forgotten too quickly.

If it’s accurate, The New Yorker’s Adam Davidson has uncovered a silver bullet that doesn’t just take down Donald Trump with impeachment – if convicted, Trump could go to federal prison with his daughter Ivanka.

As the story goes, the Trump organization working with the most corrupt government official in one of the most corrupt countries in the world would undoubtedly violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977.

Azerbaijan Transportation Minister Ziya Mammadov is widely known for his close relationship with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and for being extremely corrupt. Mammadov’s salary is less than $15,000 a year, yet he’s a billionaire. Iran’s ideologically driven military force, is locked down by sanctions and can not legally do business with Americans or American companies. Via construction contracts, Mammadov can essentially launder Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps money. Building Trump International Hotel & Tower Baku is apparently one such construction project.

While lots of companies can get off with paying fines for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, some of the fines are in the hundreds of millions dollars, and sometimes people go to federal prison.

Just look at Frederick Bourke. He spent nearly a year in federal prison for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. He ran a handbag company.

Sorry Fellow Sanders Folks, You All Got Played

This has been pretty apparent for months now, but the information is trickling out. Sanders primary voters got played by Russian propagandists.

The Huffington Post has the latest installment in this story “The Bernie Sanders Campaign Faced A Fake News Tsunami. Where Did It Come From?

The HuffPo story details how a network of fake news stories and sock puppet accounts flooded Sanders social media networks after he lost the primary. The ultimate goal wasn’t to get people to vote for Donald Trump, but to get people to not vote for Hillary Clinton. That’s where the story about Clinton molesting children at a DC pizza place originated.

I personally remember this wave of news stories. As a Sanders primary voter, once I switched to a Clinton supporter, the vitriol and hatred from my fellow Sanders supporters (or who I thought were Sanders supporters) was disgusting. I was called every name in the book for even suggesting that these bogus stories were fake.

Well they were fake. Millions of people who probably would have done what I did when Sanders lost the primary and voted for Clinton – didn’t.

“The glory which is built upon a lie soon becomes a most unpleasant incumbrance. … How easy it is to make people believe a lie, and how hard it is to undo that work again!” — Mark Twain

People were too quick to believe any negative story about Clinton and didn’t even care if it was true or not. And like I said, the purpose wasn’t necessarily to convince people to vote for Trump, but to simply not vote for Clinton by either not voting or voting for Stein or writing in a candidate. Vladimir Putin’s hatred of Clinton runs much deeper than his love for Trump, but now that Putin owns Trump and the Oval, his plan worked remarkably well.
